"Iris croatica" is a tourist agency, seated at the border of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The agency has been actively engaged in tourism sector since the year 2002.
At the beginning of its operation, the agency placed focus on the goal of creating the tourist products of the region, offering additional activities to one-day guests at the Plitvice Lakes, as well as offering the prolonged stay at the destination and combining tourism, ecology and sustainable development.
In the year 2004, the "Iris croatica" agency started a specific project - the construction of the village estate named "Jelov Klanac", with a wish to promote the whole Lika region, the municipalities of Rakovica and the Plitvice Lakes and to bring life back to this already forgotten Lika village.
What Jelov Klanac stands for today is an encounter with the primordial nature, a little wooden house at the border of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, resurgence of old handicrafts, offer of autochthonous regional specialties of the Lika cuisine, preservation of flora and fauna and the interaction of guests with the nature.
The future plans of "Iris croatica" include the extension of the estate and the construction of another accommodation facility, which will, just like Jela, be in full accord with its environment.
