Walking through the coniferous and deciduous forest at the impressive estate of 100 000 m2 right at the border of the National Park of the Plitvice Lakes belongs to everyday relaxation in Jelov Klanac. The paths of the estate lead from one valley to another, from one clearing to another, from one belvedere to another, all the way to a little bank in deep shade of the pine-tree forest with a pine-needles carpet and rosin smell. On your way, there are officinal herbs to collect, rate vegetal types to photograph and wild strawberries and edible bolete to pick.
Munja, Grom, Sokol, Dora and Nera are the inhabitants of Jelov Klanac as well. The guests are welcome to give drink and food to these gorgeous horses or make a tour of the neighbourhood riding them or simply enjoy looking at the horses living in their natural environment. The horses are not the only animals, living at the estate. There are also two dogs and a domestic cat, which enjoy living in natural environment and being in contact with people.
You may not only walk through nature, you may paint it as well. If you take your painting kit with you, you will certainly find numerous motifs.
The old mill model is another attraction of the Jelov Klanac village. The mill is not in function; however, there is a source of excellent drinking water next to it.
The host will offer the Lika regional specialties to his guests to taste during their stay at the estate: home-made cheese, honey and home-made plum brandy, wild berries liqueurs, blackberries jam and wild fruits juices. Upon the guests' wish, the host will inform them where these specialties may be purchased.
